Only when an applicant is otherwise admissible but lacks one approved subject, Religion 12 or Social Justice 12 may be substituted for a grade 12 subject from the approved list.

Provincial Exams

Students are strongly encouraged to take the provincial exams. When calculating the applicants’ entrance average, CCC looks at the percentage mark of the school grade and, if applicable, the blended course grade and uses the higher of the two.

English Language Admission Standard

Students who did not receive 80% or higher in English 12 (or its equivalent) and international students from non-English speaking countries* MUST enrol in ENGL 109 (a non-transferable course) before they can enrol in ENGL 110 (transferable, university-level English).

Students who fall into these categories may challenge placement in ENGL 109 by writing the CCC English Placement Test.  The EPT costs $50 to write and is graded on a Pass/ Fail basis.  If you do not receive a Pass, you cannot enrol in ENGL 110 until ENGL 109 has been successfully completed.

*International students from English-speaking countries must still provide proof of having attained 80% or higher in their equivalent of English 12 before they will be permitted to enrol in ENGL 110

Math Requirements/Pathways

PATHWAY ONE:
If you have not completed Math 12 (Principles of Math 12/ Pre-Calculus 12) OR Applications of Math 12/ Foundations of Math 12, you are still eligible to apply for admission to Corpus Christi College. However, in order to enrol in any CCC calculus course, you must first complete a Grade 12 pre-calculus equivalency course at another institution. Until an equivalency course has been completed, you will not be permitted to enrol in any CCC calculus course or any other CCC course which has a Math 12 pre-requisite.

PATHWAY TWO:
If you have completed Applications of Math 12 (or Foundations of Math 12) with a grade of 69% or lower, you must enrol in MATH 109 or take the Math Placement Test in order to see if you are eligible for MATH 110.

PATHWAY THREE:
If you have completed Applications of Math 12 (or Foundations of Math 12) and you have a final grade of 70% or higher, you may enrol directly in MATH 110. You may write the Math Placement Test to see if you qualify to enrol directly into MATH 204. If you have completed Principles of Math 12 (or Pre-Calculus 12) , you may enrol in MATH 110, MATH 111 or MATH 204.
